Default Door removal

I have seen many pictures of H3's with the door off, and I really like it. I have attempted to remove my doors, and just haven't had any luck. I would appreciate it if you could explain how to do it.

doors are VERY HEAVY and come off ez but its a 2 man job. putting it back is 10 times harder so good luck. you may be doorless for a while!!

i had to change one and would not do it again without help. very tough.

the 2 small bolts unhook the tabs that keep it from lifting up. remove them and the closer rod and with 2 guys to help, lift it off.

going back on is 10 times harder getting the pins lined up , both at once while lifting is something I will not try again alone.

for a little fun it may not be worth it. you can do and learn.

oh, rehooking the closer is an experience the difficulty you wont see till you try it the first time. very tricky.

NOT EZ.
This is from the other door removal forum, and I still don't know which 2 small bolts you are supposed to remove.

open the front door and look at the hinges. there you will see two little bolts ,not painted. yhey keep the door from bouncing off on hard bumps or when two guys try to lift it!!

Do I take off the bolts that are circled in red? And do I do anything with the black bolt?

on my red h3 the front door hinge retaining bolts are not painted. on yours it is circled black, the one only bolt for each hinge,NOT the two going into the door.

ill be honest,as always, with you, if you are asking these questions you should not be taking anything important apart. you can get injured or injure someone else.

doors and seats dont look heavy just sitting there. unhook them and lift one and you will see how hard it is to handle them. repeating, it is 10 times as hard to put doors back on. you cant see the pins to set them back on when lifting the door.

my advice and disclaimer: dont mess with it.

Don't forget all the wiring going in the door. Personally I think they look awful with the doors off.
