The S/T Maxx actually has a smooth, quiet (for an all terrain) ride. Cooper really took their time developing it and ended up with a great tire.

I looked at the Maxx. It is way heavy a tire for me. It seems to be built for oil field and mining duty for full size loaded down trucks. Very stiff carcass.
