You can efficiently clean the injectors using a few cans of Techron and running a good fuel like Chevron, Texaco, Shell or Exxon through the system. Do two tankfuls.

You can clean the throttle body with throttle body cleaner. Recommended way is to remove and clean.

Or, you can make a deal with the dealer. If you pay to have the injectors and throttle body cleaned at your expense and it cures the problem, great. If it does not cure the problem, then you should not pay for the procedures. The problem lies elsewhere.

$144 is not too much and even if the problem continues then they would have to fix it under warranty. If you try and save the $144 and clean it yourself they might continue to tell you that they are still plugged.

Good info. On Monday my CEL came on, Tuesday I had a parts store pull the code - P0305. On the way home from the parts store I noticed the light was off (hasn't come back on yet). I'll pick up a couple bottles of fuel system cleaner and start buying better gas, but as long as the light doesn't come back on is this something I should worry about? It's been pretty cold here, lows in the single digits, highs in the teens. I kinda associated the CEL with the cold weather, but maybe it's just wishful thinking.

It's an '07 so I still have the 5/100k warranty, not sure if that covers this type of thing and it sounds like nobody in this thread knows that yet. I'll be watching this thread to see if GM covers it.

I was told by my dealership that if they performed the throttle body cleaning and the misfire continued then they would start to look into the coils. If it turned out the coil was bad, they would replace it under warranty. If the problem persisted after a new coil then they would replace all the coils and eventually the head if it still continued.

i had the same problem... now keep in mind that i do not go off roading EVER!! i just drive to work and home!

my truck started to idle ruff so i decided to remove the injectors and this is what i found... http://img855.imageshack.us/img855/8996/hummerplugs.jpg

i replaced them and added some silicone so that no water would enter the injectors, so far the truck works great... btw i replace the ac delco plugs with bosch super 4, and noticed a huge difference in performance... all it costed me was 50$ and 1 hour of my check engine disapeared

Hopefully you will have better luck than everyone else that I know, and those that posted on forums, that strayed away from the OEM AC Delcos.

Take it home and run a couple of bottles of techron through it. This is what the Corvette forum members do when there are fuel line problem.
