Bump Stop ?
I'm geting ready to purchase a front level kit from Trailduty.com. The kit comes complete with (2) 5100 Series Bilstein Shocks and (2) either 1/2" or 1" bump stops. I need to raise the front 2.5". Do I need the 1/2" or 1" bump stops? Also is there any need to raise the torsion bars or is there no need when using the Bilstein shocks.

that is not a true leveling kit. To level it you will need to crank the torsion bars up with that kit, but you want to go with the 1/2" if you offroad. The trail duty kit is a good kit. If it were me, I would purchase the 5100s for the rear too

Nope, because in this case he IS NOT wasting money.
The Trailduty kit is not a leveling kit (although that's what they call it).
It is a set of standard Bilstein front shocks, modified by Cogneto to accommodate the longer travel , and longer bumpstops to be used on H3's that have already been leveled. Shocks by themselves DO NOT lift anything.
So, yes you need to do the torsion bar adjustment first, then install the Trailduty kit.
1/2" bumpstops are what you want. I don't know of anyone who has used the 1" ones.

Exactly what skeeter and bunger said 1/2". It is a decent kit but should be called an " after leveling kit".
Once you adjust your torsion bars to the desired height you will then want to install the "after leveling kit".
The shocks that come in that kit where made for the Chevy/GMC 1500 trucks with a 2" lift/level in the front. Same part# and everything. The Chevy/GMC 1500 trucks have a very similar IFS setup to what comes from the factory on the H3s.
Once you adjust your torsion bars to the desired height you will then want to install the "after leveling kit".

Bought the same kit only shocks at all 4 corners, will have them installed along with my 305-70-16 Duratracs tomorrow. I plan on adjusting on the tbars when I get home then install the new bump stops. I researched on here and 1/2" was recommended.

Well after all that wisdom was once again gone over I see Phil at Trail Duty has still not changed the way that is worded and people not having done this think it means something other than it should elude to.
No one mentioned he said he needed to lift it 2.5 inches.
That would be 25". Under fender to axle center.
Stock should be about 22 1/2. I ran 24 for awhile on my 06 and decided that was not good for the CV angles and stock tie rods.
I came back down to what I believe is a better all round setting of 23 1/2 after breaking a steering rack. I believe the increased angle had caused more force pushing up on both sides instead of just in and out or side to side but did more damage on the passenger side on the OEM rack bracket.
I made a set of bump stops 1/2 inch longer from some OEM stock ones and they seem to be a good fit. If you are not lifted enough the 1" will just get squished out. If you are lifted enough they are not you will probably be having other problems.
And the story goes on from there........................
