Battery box cover

before I purchase a upper battery box cover, 25854192, is there a secrete reason why it’s not on? The vent tube is still there. Guessing it is just missing?

It is not paramount to have one.
I had to modify mine when I went with a AGM battery.
Changing your stock battery posts in a must for proper electrical function of everything.
Maybe you have already done this ??

It does look like the battery terminal connectors have been changed but I can not confirm not knowing what the stock connectors look like. When I installed the Air Doc, I was cleaning everything and noticed that there was supposed to be a cover over battery. Now that you mention modify, cover might not have fit with the Interstate battery in there now.

2 batteries installed...

no room for cover. save it for a future purist!!

I added new battery connectors. A Dremmel works wonders on cutting the openings to fit whatever you need. Buy your cover on Ebay. Much cheaper than GM Parts Online. You may even be able to find a used one.
