Default 4" lift option for H3

Hey, I'm new to the forum and also a new owner of an '06 H3. I was really excited to see that there was ONCE a Rancho a Rancho lift for the H3 and then I was sadly disappointed to find out hat they were discontinued.

Has anyone found an alternative way to lift their H3 - I'm curious if purchasing a lift for a GMC Canyon could do the job with some changes. Let me know what you guys know. Thanks.

There are NO kits available new that would work on an H3.

The H3 only shares about 30% of the Colorado/Canyon parts, contrary to popular belief they are NOT very similar.

Sadly your only hope is to find used lifts, and they are very scarce.

Don't fall for the 2-3" "leveling kits" they are a waste of money, period.

Most of us have adjusted the front torsion bars to level and maybe added a 1" Daystar body lift to get some height. That's what I did and I sit almost as tall as an H3 with a Rancho 4" kit.

I went with the front torsion adjustment and Rancho 2" Suspension Lift a few years back and got enough clearance for 35's. I am not a fan of suspension lifts though and would like to know if you have any handling issues with your body lift? The installation looked relatively easy. Also, under their installation instructions I saw nothing about alignment. Is this necessary with the body lift?

There are no handling changes after doing a body lift.

A body lift is just that, you add 1" spacers at the body mount locations on both sides (about 12 points).

It does not disturb anything related to the front steering or any other part of the drive train so no realignment is necessary.
