Default 35" tires on a stock h3 adventure?

As of now I am running 33x12.50 r20 nitto mud Grapplers on my 05 H3 adventure.

I absolutely hate the big wheels because they suck off road.
I'm buying new wheels and tires and here's my questions.

Can I run a 35"x12.50 tire?
If so can I run them without having to change the gears?
Will 15" rims fit on my H3?

You can run 35's on a stock H3 without changing gears.
If getting new rims make sure the backspace/offset and center bore are the same as the OEM.

15" rims will be too small to clear the calipers without spacers, which can cause other issues.

Most of us that wheel run 16" rims (OEM) and 305/70/16 (33") or 315/75/16 (35") tires.

Thanks alot for the info.

My current wheels have a "stick out effect" and I want to keep that when I get my new tires. Does this mean my current setup is something other then OEM or wrong?

Is there anyway to keep this look when I order my new wheels and tires and be "right"?

I'm wanting to buy these tires but have no clue what wheels to go with in order to get that "stick out effect" I'm wanting to keep.

It's the backspacing on the wheel that you need to pay attention to. The backspacing on ours is 4.5" I just measured how far our tires stick out past the fenders and it is 4". I had no idea it was that far. I like it with a wider stance like that.

Thanks for the info guys.

I finally found out what wheels and tires I'm going with.

Going with the 35" treadwrights:

https://www.treadwright.com/p-77-315...dog-m-t-d.aspx

And these 16x9 MotoMetal wheels:

Hummer Parts and Accessories : MOTO METAL 951 Series Black Hummer H3 Wheels (add to cart for sizes and pricing)

These wheels and tires should work together right?
Sorry I'm an extreme noob to anything to do with vehicles...

In many states and Ontario, you will get a ticket for tires that stick out beyond 1" from the fender. Then you will be ordered to remove them unless you add fender flares that pass inspection.

You should also ask, what is that offset doing to my wheel bearings????

IMHO it just looks like somebody winged it with wheel offset having no idea WTH they were doing.

Wheel bearings have anything to do with balljoints?

The first weekend after I purchased my h3 I took it wheeling and broke the front left ball joint. On the h3 you can't replace the upper ball joint without replacing the entire a-arm. At the same time my tie rod snapped while I was nearly to the top of a long steep hill... Also, the sway bar link bent.
Big cluster F***

Any chance this happened because of the wheel offset? Possibly wheeling on 20's? A little of both?

Will the off-set be proper with the wheels and tires I linked to above?
