Hi Hummer H3 fans .. I recently removed my front drive shaft to replace the boot ... once out i started it up to try and move it out of the rain but it would not go anywhere... the front hub was spinning but the rear wheels would not drive..... So am i missing something or do i not have the selector in the right setting... Happy Hummering

Yes you are missing something. The H3 has StabiliTrack and Traction Control. It will send power to the wheel with least resistance. When you removed the front drive shaft the front became the wheels with least resistance and the power was sent to the front which is NOT hooked up.

The only way to move an H3 with front drive shaft removed is by placing the T Case in Lock, which sends power split evenly between front and rear.

Did selecting 4-high lock work for you?
