'08 Alpha Grinding on Deceleration
So my '08 Alpha has had an issue that I can't 100% determine the source, and the local dealer claims as "normal operation".
On deceleration on medium braking and stronger (so medium - hard braking) I have a very loud ratchety grinding noise coming from the front of the vehicle. From inside the cab it seems like it's near the center, and is felt in the brake pedal as well. Any ideas on where to look to determine if it's a drivetrain issue or a brake issue? I've heard of the rear rotor glazing problem, but this noise is definitely in the front of the vehicle. It's loud enough that in a hard stop in city traffic pedestrians look my direction. :/
Here's a clip of the deceleration and the sound.
H3 Deceleration Grinding Issue
The first stop it's higher pitched, but the secondary stop you can hear it in more detail. Sorry for the wind, where I work is at the top of a hill and it's windy there all the time (Used to be a great local hang gliding spot with updrafts, etc. before they put a tech complex there).
Any help on this one would be greatly appreciated!

It sounded like your hummer was throwing up internally, that's not normal for any vehicle, it sounds like to me something is loose or just like some other people have responded the brakes, good luck, let us know what the issue is when you find out?
