07 H3 radio ?'s

I have an 07 H3 with a single disc factory cd player. First, it has the XM shark fin antenna on the roof but when going though the bands XM doesn't come up??? Also I've seen factory H3 6 disc cd players on ebay, is it possible that they would swap out and just need programmed by a dealer to make it work? or am I stuck with the single disc?? honestly, if I could get the xm working i'd be a happy camper! any help would be appreciated!!! thanks!!

the 6 disk will not exchange, different cabling. xm is not in the am fm radio. its separate.
you should look at a wiring diagram or get help at a shop

Better to go aftermarket. I bought a Pioneer FH-X700BT FH-X700BT - 2-DIN CD Receiver with MIXTRAX, Bluetooth®, USB Direct Control for iPod®/iPhone®, and Pandora® Ready | Pioneer Electronics USA and GMOS-04 adapter for under $200

You have the same radio I have, I added an ipod adapter and I'm fine with it.

As was said, you need a XM reciever which can stand alone and plug into the radio Aux like the ipon adapter, or a head unit with XM built in.

The biggest difference between your radio and the 6 disc changer is your radio has a built in amplifier, the 6 disc uses only low powered speaker outputs and needs an external amp.
