If optimas have worked well for you in the past. Id go with them. Batteries dont seem to live a long life in these trucks. Ive replaced 4. I seem to get about a 1-1.5 years out of them. Soon as the cold comes they are done. My deuce is not an dd. But it does get driven at least once a week.

Do you keep a trickle charger on it and/or battery warmer due to where you live? I am the exact opposite, in AZ the summers are upwards of 120 and even over that and I've only replaced my batter once in 7ish years. I paid it off a few years ago and it became my weekend toy so I added a trickle charger with quick disconnect so the battery is always maintained.

Thank you every one, went to Autozone for H2 has Yellow Duralast at 3 years warranty for $175, and Optima 3 years warranty for $305, Oreilly's has the Super Start Premium with 2 years warranty at $140, and Cost Co. has The Interstate Green Baterry at $95 with 3-1/2 years warranty.

I should have it on a trickle charger, but i dont. I do throw the battery charger on it every few months with this last battery. I have also disconnected my trailer brake and stryker light to try to help stop the drain. I am just about to buy a battery disconnect for my cj. So i should order a side post one for the h2 while im at it. I also have it heated garage kept now so i dont have the aftermarket alarm draining as well.

It took me a few batteries. Im a slow learner... lol

I bought a trickle charger from Walmart, name brand (forgot what it is lol) for less than $50. It came with the clamps and a hardwire set. Just last month I finally installed the hardwire set with the quick disconnect so no more opening the hood to put on or take off the clamps. My local parts store had longer side terminals made for connecting accessories-this make the job a piece of cake. For not much you can throw a trickle on and never worry about the thing.
