Suspension air compressor stays on H2 SUT 05
 

Hello I'm new here& just bought a 05 H2 SUT in JULY. I can hear the air leak& compressor kicking on even when truck is off as well as a clicking in front driver side under hood. Tjereisno l8ft& the truck is lopsoded slightly. Based on research I had the air compressor disconnected, now the ride is horrible& hoping I'm not causing damage. Dec 20th is shop appt to put in a conversion kit. Yes realize it could be a simple fix maybe however this setup is poor & I don't want to deal with it again and again. I'd really appreciate any feedback, experiences recommendations on best shocks/ conversion kit. Thanks!

The system lasted for 18 years, can't be that bad. Some people switch to coil overs and do away with the air suspension.

Agree.... the system is not poor. But just like springs and shocks things do eventually wear out. Far better when towing, somewhat better ride, better resale value (H2's in good original condition are actually increasing in value and becoming collectible).

To each their own though. Would have not been too hard to locate the leak which was likely one of the air springs, put on a new set of air springs and been fine.
