Last year I had the air bags replaced and lines and now have another issue with the rear suspension. It constantly switches on and off, the dealer tells me it will be 575 to fix. Has anyone swapped the bags out for coil suspension, if so how does it ride, what did it cost and did you lose/gain anything?

 

Hundreds if not thousands of people have swapped from air bags to coils. H2's like like caddys anyway, with or without air. What is wrong with the system to begin with or do you just want to get rid of it all together without attempting to fix it?

 

The system constantly runs then shuts off over and over, I was told is it was a bad valve and would cost 575 but a year ago I had both bags replaced and the lines at a cost of 1300 so I can kind of see the writing on the wall. My H2 is 10 years old with 119k on it.

 

I paid $2k to replace the air compressor on my 04 H2. Several years later it went out again so I took it all off and installed springs. Not much difference in the ride but the cost was less than $150.
