The front grill on my 2007 H2 SUT is chrome. I would like to change this to a matte black color. It appears to be plastic to me. Can this be sandblasted and repainted or is there another process to do this? Also, what is the best way to remove the pins that hold the rubber hood straps for the latch? I assume using a press to press them out is the best way to remove and reinstall?

As for the grill, scuff it and paint it. I would not recommend sand blasting plastic, but you might be able to have it bead blasted if you just have to.
