Brake line help please
 

Lost my brakes on the way home from the lake a few days ago. I only had a little left at the floor. I got her home and changed out the master cylinder. I was bleeding the brakes and I guess the rear driver side hard line was about to fail before and it started leaking. I called auto zone to order a new one and they can't get them at all. Is this going to be a dealer item or is there someplace online I can get them? Auto zone did find out there are two different sizes and I'm not sure which one I have. Hoping someone here can steer me in the right direction.

It's the metal line above the pumpkin. I'm just going to go ahead and do both sides while I'm in there. Assuming I can get the parts ;)

Most of the brake lines, even from GM are "bend them yourself to fit". I ordered brake lines for my 2010 Suburban and when then arrived, it was a box of 20' of raw brake line. I would recommend going to Advance Autoparts or NAPA or someone who carries brake lines. Take your old line with you and have them match up a close prefab on, buy a bender and make the line yourself. That is what I ended up doing on the Suburban.

is there a braided tube replacement for this part? the one i have on mine is made of rubber and it has a 1" rip in it. just wondering if there was an after market braided hose for both sides. ty

Hummer Brake Lines

OP, def take a look at the sstubes.com link bronxteck posted, I have used all of his SS lines to replace all of mine, and they are perfectly bent for the H2. I could have gone the copper line and bending them yourself route, but someone had already tried that on mine and had **** going everywhere, old lines left in place and connections made halfway through other lines. I just ripped out all of the old **** and replaced them all completely.

Lucius - What part are you speaking about specifically? There is a kit that replaces all of the rubber lines with braided lines, Russell 689790, and cost around $140. That includes all four caliper lines and the two rubber drop lines on the pumpkin. The only thing to be cautious of when replacing all of those are if your lines are weak, trying to loosen the connections could rupture the hard-lines, make sure you have the proper flare nut wrenches to help with that.
