Default Would you consider the H2 to be reliable?

I have been in the market for some time now, researching, price comparing, reading these forums (thanks for the automated bday wishes last month..lol). I have located a 2003 H2 with 67,000 miles and one owner. He is asking 18,500 for the vehicle. I have read "what to look for" when buying a H2 and I will be sure to check all of those things.

The one thing that I have noticed is that not many people talk about the reliability of the H2. I know that a lot of the vehicle reliability and dependability is the maintenance of the vehicle, but I was curious about the overall opinion... Has it left you stranded on the side of the road? Most common repair that owners make... etc

JD Power rates the 2003 H2 as "reliability is better than most vehicles."

Having said that, make sure you can view the maintaince records.

Have it checked out by a certified Hummer mech. Cadillac dealers now service Hummers, though not all of them are certified.

DON'T PURCHASE UNTIL IT IS CERTIFIED!

I don't think you can but a hummer private & bring it to be certified...checked out yes but certified no.
Wouldn't he have to buy it from the dealer it is certified from? That's how BMW works...

You may be right, I don't know. But, GM trains and certifies it's mechs to work on Hummers. So if they say it's good, it is certified as far as I am concerned. You get the point.

I pick it up this afternoon. I will try to post some pictures, but it has been raining for a few days straight here in Ohio and I fear I may melt
