If you can afford a 08+ go for it....new engine and new interior.

Why would you not want an 08 or 09, other than they will cost more?

Yeah, I'm also curious, as I'm looking into buying an 08 H2...

The newer the Better of course. I drive an H2 with 101,000 miles and it's still awesome and Perfect. Except for when I screw it up on accident.:D

I wouldn't buy anything after 07 either....

I have more than one reason, so I will say...

1. More 6.0 engine parts to choose/pick from (aftermarket, and stock parts)

2. Dash titties.

3. More spare parts, interior changes were huge in 2008+.... older models stayed closer to each other, especially 2004-2007.

4. Older models are less "Escalade" and more badass. If I wanted Paddle shifters I'd buy a car with them.
