Took the plunge. Air doc ordered. Should be a few weeks before it gets to me. I'll let you know how I get on !

 

my only question to anyone using either or any of these is was there a noticible difference is daily performance or was it just during wide open throttle, ive never seen anyone use these on applications where they aren't modifying vehicle for wide open throttle type use so just wondered if there is any use for daily drivers?

 

Find a 4-wheel dyno and go to town. Personally I don't care about HP gains from these two items. I've saving massive amounts of money having a reusable air filter and piece of mind knowing the air has a nice straight and smooth path to the intake mani. Take a look at the factory resonator and you'll see all the air passages and chambers it has to go through. I do notice a nice whistle at full throttle.

 

Total agreement with that. I'm all for efficiency and that seagull just looks to be anything but. Appreciate its probably for sound deadening/resonance etc but I'm all for a roar when I put my foot down. I should have it in a week or so's time and will provide feedback accordingly.
