Hummer H2 For those who like a little more gleam to their Hummer, the H2 offers a similar rugged look as the H1, but as a lower cost, and with more added features, making it almost a massive luxury SUV.

Default Traversing a sideslope

In the owners manual, It says that the H2 is capable of traversing(going across sideways) a 22 degree(40%) side slope. But much like the other off-road ratings in the manual, it seems quite low. Has anyone had their rig traversing more than this? I remember the demo at Epcot had an obstacle that was supposed to be 22 but came out to like 24 and it did just fine. What do we think is the limit before tipping over?

I have no doubt the H2 is capable of going well beyond the 22 degrees. The issue is they pad the numbers for safety and knowing the real issue is operator error. Rollovers are typically the result of driver panic. Stopping or slowing and wheels "catching" some resistance, Turning up in a slide vs down to recover momentum when it makes sense... You get the picture. Bottom line is why test fate unless the alternative is worse... Error on side of caution, the manufacturer sure does
