Default Sound off on your gas mileage

Everybody tells me how bad it is but none of the people I talk to actually have H2's. Lol. So since you guys have one,. How bad is it? Planning to stay in Louisiana to travel with little kids and a 5000 lb travel trailer. Sound off!

City, highway, mountain roads. No towing. Cruise usually set at 78 mph.

towing a heady trailer just a few LBS over the tow limit avg 4 to 7 MPG acording to DTC info this could be wrong but only by a few miles ), long trips Texas to Florida and back without a trailer at around 70 to 80 MPH 12 to 14 MPG keep in mind im already over 200K miles on the ODO ...

Its not good but of course if you have or are considering an H2 then I sincerely hope you are not expecting good economy as it is a 6600lb vehicle with the aerodynamics of a shoebox.

in my 2003 I average right at 10mpg. On a long road trip I'll get as high as about 13 to 14....

There is no such thing as an H2 without a V8....

Not all.... 2008/2009 have the newer 6.2 with the 6 speed transmission.

Thanks guys/gals. I'm getting excited! We are going to get it Thursday if all goes well. My wife is just not the suburban/Yukon type. Her first car was a 1995 5.0 mustang lowered and piped and rimmed. Thanks for all your input .Getting it regardless of the mpg cause it is so cool!

Main thing if you plan on towing something like that often is you will want to add an auxiliary transmission cooler....
