Can anyone recommend a shop/garage that is familiar with H2's in the North Scottsdale or North Phoenix areas? Someone who is familiar with different customizations available for H2's and can also do basic maintenance. Earnhardt's on FLW and Hayden has done all of the work on my 2 so far but when they wanted to charge me $770 to replace the two front shocks, I decided to find someone else to do such work.

 

Most any competent mechanic can work on the 2s as much of the suspension and drivetrain is not H2 specific. Earnhardt was one of the best experiences I've had my entire life in buying a new vehicle which is surprising the service department would try and screw you over to replace 2 front shocks which is literally a handful of bolts.

 

Yeah, considering I’ve had them do all of the maintenance on my 2 over the years and have spent thousands, it was a little disappointing to get that quote. Desert Rat will charge $25-$35 a shock and Combs Auto up on Scottsdale and Pinnacle Peak wants $260 to replace all four. Add those two quotes to the approx $450 for four shocks and that’s a hell of a lot less than $770 to replace the fronts only.
