1.has anyone seen/use this scoop?
2.has anyone removed the crapply little screens that will slow down the airflow into the airbox?

It's called an ACCESSORY SCOOP:

Personally, I don't see HOW THIS WOULD WORK unless you had a cowl induction hood???

On the Volant website, it says "for off-road use only"????

And NO, I haven't removed the crappy little screen

i was talkin to max at incamotorsports.com but he doesnt have the hood scoopinsert.i did find the hood scoop insert but its a carbon fiber n costs like $400 or so.i figure if someone made the stock hood louvers that go in the opposite direction it would almost work as ram air.

but you'd also blow an incredible amount of mud dirt or snow right into the intake if it aimed forward. I saw a supposedly potentially functional (functional was an option), potentially just decorative ram-air scoop that replaced the factory decorative bumps near the windshield once.

i think it was lapd something - like los angeles performance department or something similar.

Those side vent intakes do look cool. but kinda expensive if you just used them for cosmetic.
