O2 sensor wiring?

O2 sensor wiring on 2008 H2 for passenger side sensors. Apparently had an animal tear out a section of wiring, mostly to O2 sensors and starter solenoid. It was dead in the driveway. I patched in some wire and got it to start and run again. Now I have a check engine light. I read the code and it was something about switching between sensors, do not recall the code number. I can pull it again if needed. The wire colors were the same on both sensors; pink, tan, purple and a unique color on each. Had no way to verify which purple, tan, pink was which as a section of wire was missing. Think these go direct to the ECM. Can anyone tell me the PIN numbers on the connectors so I can verify that nothing is crossed? I had no luck finding a diagram online.

Page 4 of the attached shows the 4-off Heated Oxygens Sensors at the bottom of the page.

This is only part of the storey I know, what you also need is the pinouts of the connectors and the colors of the sensors, but its a start.

Here is an upstream HO2 sensor (Bosch) pinout

Here the downsteam pinout.

Unfortunately I cannot verify or validate this info.

I'll post an HO2 sensor guide in the next post.

HO2 Sensor Guide, this may help you identify the wiring.

[QUOTE=oceanbrave;379832]Page 4 of the attached shows the 4-off Heated Oxygens Sensors at the bottom of the page.

This is exactly what I need. There are purple and tan on both sensors, so without going back to the ECM connector I don’t know which is which. How do you count the pins on the ECM connector? There are multiple tans and purples in it. There are 2 rows of connections, 10 groups in each row, 4 individual connections per group.

Hard to find infor on the PowerTrain Control Module (PCM), to be honest I've never had to go there and never seen it close-up (jinx)

However I found this pic which may help a little.

If this is the same, it shows the numbering going form 80 (LHS) to 41 (RHS) on the top connector, the bottom connector probably goes from 40 (LHS) to 1 (RHS)

These numbers should correspond to the module shown on P3 of the pdf posted earlier, from there you should be able to trace it out.

Hope this helps...

When you say "animal" did you mean "critter" ? - it must have a thing for wiring :D

Critter, yes. Larger one (dog) after smaller one (squirrel or cat) is what the evidence seems to show. Quite a mess. I did not take a pic at the time, had a trip planned the next day and had to piece it back together as best I could in the gravel driveway. No issues prior. Will be a few days before I can work on it again.

Ok, so after getting a schematic that matched the wiring of this vehicle, I found that the purple wires were crossed, the tans were correct. Bank 2, sensor 1 and 2 swapped the same color wires. Now that wiring is correct, drive a few days and see if any codes come back. Thanks to all who gave assistance! I’ll let ya know if there are any issues!
