Hummer H2 For those who like a little more gleam to their Hummer, the H2 offers a similar rugged look as the H1, but as a lower cost, and with more added features, making it almost a massive luxury SUV.

Default NHOU-the official oil-based rust proofing system

anyone use this? dont know if its just Hummer or GM in its entirety but im a
lifelong GM guy, Ive had bodys rot away but always great frames, yeah i know brake and fuel line rot etc...
but ive never seen frames rot as bad Hummers. I have a 97 2 door tahoe that has never been garaged, been on the beach and driven in winter its whole life, not a drop of rust anywhere, original exhaust and brake lines, all ive ever done is go to a do it yourself carwash after the beach and after a snowstorm and clean undercarriage thoroughly, my 07 H2 's body is mint. amazing the amount of rusty scale im taking off the frame. i knew the second owner who had it for 10 years, he never even drove it in the winter, anyway prepping and using POR15 on frame, but obviously we cant get to the inside of frame, seen these guys on car shows on TV and they spray this oil everywhere including all the inside of the frame.

any thoughts?

I wish there was an NHOU place in KS. I would use it for all my vehicles.

There should be places that spray oil under car for winter, they will shoot into holes in frame to get inside, and rockers etc, worth the money to have done

there is a NHOU place not too far from me, they want like $600 to do full size SUV, once im done painting external frame
i can buy case of their aerosol cans and do the inside of frame myself for $144, havent seen anyone doing oil local, but im sure they are around, i can buy a applicator kit from NHOU could i just use used engine oil? even NHOU says they need to recoat every 2 or 3 years, thats gets expensive at $600 a pop
