Colorado Springs H2 owner here. I went into a custom exhaust shop. They cut the pipes behind the cats and put a custom exhaust in. Bent all the tubing, custom hangers with black dual tips out the back. The muffler is stainless and custom made as well. Took 4 hours and only cost 450 with my military discount. Better sound, tad more power at our altitude, and they custom painted the pipes going to the black tip sand hangers with gloss black high temp paint. Extra hangers were added to ensure owner (thats me) of it staying put permanently. Also covered the system for as long as I own the vehicle and I am still in the Springs. (which I am retiring this year and staying here) Looking to buy a H2 SUT to add to my Hummer family next year.

MILE HIGH MADNESS

P.S. Lots of snow today and I was cruising around with no slipping like it was summer. Have to love the Hummer

MAN1.....Which Superchip are you using? I am very interested in tuning the ole LQ4 for more mileage and power. Thought about the guys at Black Bear, but I really dont want to by a new computer. Very cool to hear you and SHADOW are fellow Colorado H2 owners! I am just north of Denver. At over 5280 we need all the engine tuning we can get!

MAN1___ I am just north of Denver. We have a 4 Wheel Parts pretty close, so I will stop by and see what they have. If my buddy can get me a new ECM (he works for a stealership), I will go the Black Bear route. They map the fuel and timing based on data saved via OBD II cable. I might have them do my 2000 Suburban 2500 first, the timing on it is quite mild, and see if they can wake it up.

Hi shadow, I bought mine when I lived in Colorado as well. I relocated but still miss driving in the snow with the beast. I couldn't even tell it was icy out.

JAYDEL--------Looks like anywhere from $900 to $1100 for a Borla system (shop it around online, then look for a % off coupon for the site). Keep in mind there may be some noticable "drone" inside the vehicle. This happens when the exhaust frequency matches the vibration frequency of the engine and chassis. Kinda like the buffeting you feel in your ears from an open sunroof. Some like it, some do not. For about the same $$$ you should look at Corsa. No drone and really good sound. However, the Corsa does cut out the majority of very low / deep tones to achieve the "no drone". So if you want super deep tone, Magnaflow or Borla will do the trick.
