How was it to plasti dip the rims? Is it holding up? Could you get a rim close up pic? I've been considering it for while so I can get rid of the chrome.... Just untill I have the extra cash to spend on new rims.

I will tomorrow. Its already dark here.
I like it so far.
You can definitely see the parts where the factory chrome was chipping off. A few feet away it looks great, but up close, you can see the problems.

Been forever since I updated this. I ended up with a bad clogged pass. catalytic convertor. Deuce has been parked for about 2 months now. I'm slowly gathering parts to do a complete revamp of the motor. Here are just a few teaser pics. Hopefully have more to report soon. Im also doing a thread on "another" Hummer site, but will probably drop it since there is more traffic here it seems. Also, will be doing new rims and tires once all this is done.
Got just about everything on hand except the X-link, some gaskets, and the free time to do it all.
I have t he y-pipe also. Just didn't include it.

Various parts:
Ended up getting a custom cam cut. What I wanted only came in a 114LSA so we had one cut in 112. Also have a NNBS intake complete, but have no pictures of it.

Heads, valve seals, and springs are at the machine shop.
Cam should be here this week.

Xlink for the throttle body ordered.
Tune has been paid for.
Just a few loose ends to go. New oil, coolant, gasket maker, etc to get still.
Ill be starting on this thing on Aug 12th.

Getting started. Today went pretty easy. I only had 3 hours to work on it. Got the front of the engine broken down, radiator out, and intake wiring disconnected. I know it was said in another post that doing H/C/I is not worth the time and money. But my truck is not my DD, its just a toy. I'm an old drag racer, so I am most familiar with motor work. I will move onto transmission, and gears when this is done. But its my truck, I'm building it how I want.
