Default need help with h2 diesel conversion

Hello all,

im new to this forum and im looking for some help regarding my 2004 h2 i just picked up. the old owner bought the car with an engine fire and his plan was to make it a diesel but he never finished the project.

i just picked up the car with the duramax in it however nothing else hooked up. all the diesel parts are their but just in the back.

ive looked at all these places that do the complete conversion for 30-40k and i don't have that much to blow away.

can anyone tell me what problems i might run into?

ps:

the motor is from an 2005 chev 2500 duramax (i have access to other durramax parts if its missing pieces)

thanks
jay

If you've never done a job like this, I hate to say it but you are in over your head. You'll never be able to do it. Like you said, they charge $30k+ for these swaps, and there is a reason for it. It's a tough swap with a lot involved. Is the allison tranny already installed?

Not trying to be a downer, but if you aren't fluent with the HUMMER bay and have no experience with a duramax, much less ANY modern computer controlled diesel, you'll be in your basement or garage or wherever for the next 7 years trying to hook it up right.
