Default 2004 H2

I just cleaned off all the road grime from the H2 today, I saw that my back bumper has surface rust all over it. Has anyone else had this happen? Not sure what options this leaves me with. Sand it down and have it repainted or powder coat it maybe. Maybe just look for a new one.

There IS a cover(kinda) on the topbut the bumper itself isn't covered.

So will you remove the bumper and sand it down to bare metal? Or leave it on the truck sand the rust and spray it. What do you think about having it powered coated? Do you think it might last longer? Thanks for all the help

I ended up changing my Black side steps for Aries 4" Stainless steel ones because the Black ones kept rusting from all this SNOW and SALT!
