i recently had my radiator replaced, both transmission and front/rear differentials flushed at the shop. When i got my car back, i noticed a buzzing noise upon accelerating. The loud buzzing (like the game operation when you touch the metal sides) only occurs when I accelerate from a stop position, and when i reach a cruising speed it becomes a faint buzzing noise but never goes away.

When the car is parked or in neutral, the buzzing noise does not occur even if i rev the car.

could this buzzing noise have any relation to the work that i had done to my car? Is this something that I should really be concerned about? has anyone else experienced this problem? HELP! thanks in advance.

No, the noise sounds like its coming from under the hood.

 

this just recently happened to me as well(past week), and i havent had a break to get it into get looked at. it lasts when accelerating, and goes away like you said when cruising. it only really does it up to 40 mph, and after that while accelerating i dont hear it. but im taking it in for a service at the dealer in a week and will have them check it out.

 

i took it to the dealer and got it fixed for an arm and a leg...the transmission was going bad and the torque converter was the one making that loud buzzing noise...

 

Did you get yours looked at? I think your problem might be the rear diff because I am have that problem. When I take off from a stop i hear a kind of buzzing sound. When i get past 40 it stops.
