I have an 08 H2 with 55,000 miles on it and I have recently noticed the front axle vent is leaking. does anyone know what could be causing this and the best fix.

 

It could be a few things. Wrong fluid, shot fluid, over filled fluid, damaged vent, diff overheating & pressurizing and then blowing the fluid out, water in the fluid causing the case to be overfull... Either way, it may be wise to drain it & have it checked & refilled.. J

 

It has the orignal oil in it and and has never been tampered with, I bought it new and the diffrential has never been submerged.. Im guessing the oil has just lost it properties and is boiling out the vent..Thanks for your time..
