Default Intake gasket and knock sensor replacement

After another trip to the mechanic my truck came back with more issues. On the first drive I noticed sluggish performance. Engine light came on. Scanned it.

PO 327
PO 332

They are knock sensor codes. Low voltage circuit bank 1&2.

My mechanic has hosed down my motor during some tests. I'd never had these codes before. And had him do a smoke test on the intake trying to resolve a missfire issue.

I ordered the following:

Steel fel pro intake gaskets- don't cheap out. Plastic ones are junk and intake has to be removed to get at KS.
Ac delco- front and rear knock sensors
AC delco KS wiring harness- this is super important and basically a waste of time if you don't replace it. The old one may be your problem or the connectors get brittle and break.
RTV- to seal the caps and wire inlets. I also built an RTV dam to divert the water to the back.

I would also recommend buying the fuel line connector tool. Made things really easy. Lines were off in under a minute and you don't have to remove injectors or fuel rails from intake. Which prevents damage.

Also notched the foam(two pieces front and rear) in the rear so water would drain out and not pool.

So with the intake removed this is what I found under the caps. It looks like silicone but that is water. In the front and back. Thanks for hosing my motor down!

All cleaned up with new KS. Do not overtighten! Snug is good. Also added some dielectric grease to the connector.

Now for the intake gaskets. Can't stress enough to buy the Fel pro steel set. Torque specs are 44in/first round 89 in/ final. Don't know if you'll be able to see the pic. I just screenshot it. Hope this helps someone. It's not too hard of a job. Just have to be patient and pay attention.
