Default Hummer H2 Weight - American (8614lbs) vs European (7716lbs)

Hello. I just noticed now that both my H2's weight is 3500kg (7716lbs) and there are others with 3907kgs (8614lbs).
I didn't find much info on google, but for what I understand the European Hummers weight is 3500KG, because the maximum way to be able to drive them with a normal license is 3500KG, so they are 407kg (897lbs) lighter than the American version, otherwise a heavy duty license would be needed.

I'd like to know if this info is correct, I do know mine say 3500kg on the sticker, I just don't know if they really made lighter H2's specially for Europe.

If that is true, I'd like to know if anyone could tell me what changes were made in order to reduce it's weight in 407kg.

Regards

The H2 weighs 6400lbs or 2900kg....you are probably referring to the H1 weight...might be the wagon vs. the pickup stile weight difference with the H1. The H2 weighs less....plus off course the 2000lbs load capacity of the H2, which is phenomenal for a SUV. Cheers, Indy.

Biggest thing I noticed was the overall length by the 1st glace.

I guess I was confused, but apparently I'm talking about the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR).
Here is a picture of the sticker on my H2 door:

I think the H2's in America should say the GVWR is 8614. Could you please confirm?

If anyone could upload a picture of the sticker of their Hummer H2, that would be great.

Thanks

You may already know this....

GVWR is the max allowable rated weight of your loaded vehicle.
Loaded or pulling a trailer, if the 4 wheels are on a scale you (by law) can't be over that figure.

GVWR must be more than 7700lbs...the official load capacity is 2000lbs, so to add this to the Vehicle Weight you get around 8400-8600lbs, depending on what year and the options. Why they would put such a low number on your H2 is beyond my guess. Indy

The reason would be to get around the laws requiring a special license therefore reducing the possible customer base.

Yeah, this is the reason. More than 3500kg, and I would need a Heavy duty vehicle license to drive an H2...
