Hello Jimmy,
Did you end up figuring out what the issue was?
I would say to first check the tire inflator in the truck to see if that still works and if the compressor kicks in.
Buying a Tech 2 scanner is a big investment. You are looking at a couple grand for an actual Tech 2, although I have seen places overseas that do sell clones for a few hundred bucks, but that was awhile back. If you are lucky, you know someone that already has a Tech 2.
Yes, you could pull the air suspension unit out and still use the vehicle if you really needed to. I did it with mine and it costs be about 25 bucks CDN in parts, so if you are in the US, you can probably do it for under 10 bucks. Everything I needed was available on Amazon.
One thing I would say before you do anything is to measure the current ride height if it is still sitting at normal ride height and write it down somewhere and don't lose it before you come out one day and see the *** end sitting on the bump stops. (Learn from my mistakes)
Eventually I did end up switching over to coil springs because I was tired of wondering everyday when and where the Air suspension unit would go out on me again.
Actually preferred the ride with the air suspension more than coil springs but much more reliable with the springs in now,
Hope it helps.

Great infos Sir. Thanks!

I'm located in Europe. It's definitely a good idea to buy the scanner anyway, because the devices in the workshops in my area cannot read the Hummer accurately. Looking to get a clone Tech 2 scanner while they are still available.

Can you send me a list of which parts are needed to still use the vehicle? Ordering from Amazon US is no problem.

Hello,
Below is everything you should need.
For the tubing you probably only need about 5 or 6 feet if you find it locally.
I believe the OEM tubing from the air bags is 6mm and that is why you need the push to connect fitting that reduce from 1/4 in to 6mm, since I don't think you can find schrader valves with an inner diameter of 6mm. When I did mine, I set it up so I can fill the left and right air bags up individually, just to possibly prevent any bodyroll around turns. That is why I needed 2 schrader valves and 2 push to connect reducers.
Just some extra advice.
1. Measure the current ride height before anything. I would measure from the ground to the top of the rear bumper on both sides.(just so you know what height you should be at when you fill the bags up)
2. Make sure you have jack stands on the actual frame to hold the truck up before disconnecting any airlines, because once you disconnect those air lines, the truck will drop and crush anything underneath it.
3. To get the airlines to release from the compressor is a little tough. You just need to push down on the outer ring around the airline and pull the hose up, which is a bit tricky but with a little patience and swearing, you will get it. Just be ready because all the air pressure held in the bags is going to come rushing out.

Keep in mind that this is a temporary fix. You will probably never get a perfect seal. ( Atleast I wasn't able to and I tried many different options) and will probably need to put air in the bags with an air compressor every few days or so to maintain ride height,
Hope this helps.

The tire inflator doesn't work either. What I can at least rule out is, that it's leaking somewhere. The height has been consistently the same for weeks, at least as far as I can tell with the naked eye.

Thanks again Maximus! That makes my project a lot easier. I will only need this bypass for about 3 weeks. The general overhaul of the air compressor should be completed by then.

Without a DTC it's like shooting in the dark.

I have already ordered the Tech2 and will read the error code before I have the air compressor removed. Will then post the DTC here

Good news👍

Regardless of the AS outcome, it will surely be an asset, can't imagine not having one👍

I think that too because my workshop tries hard but can't read out errors. There aren't that many Hummer in my area and I don't plan on selling mine after 19 years

I can't get into any of the air suspension programs with the Tech2. I can get in everywhere else. As soon as I select any submenu of the air suspension, I get the error message

Loss of Communications with Vehicle Check
Diagnostic Link Connector
Check Ignition On/Off

Tried it several times both with and without the Candi module.
