How to make rear diff lock work in 4 hi

Straight from the manual......
To lock the rear axle, do the following:
1. Place the transfer case in the Four-Wheel-Low
Lock mode. This is the only mode which will
allow the rear axle to lock. See Full-Time
Four-Wheel Drive on page 128 for more
information regarding the transfer case and
Four-Wheel-Low-Lock mode.
2. Press the button with the vehicle stopped or
moving less than 2 mph (3 km/h).
You must wait for the light in the button to stop
flashing and remain illuminated before the
rear axle is locked.

Yes there is a way. I think the thread is called rear locker bypass. On another forum someone just posted up that they did the bypass but didn't say how they did it. If I can find the thread I'll let you know. If I had to guess it would involve sending 12 volts direct to the locker.
