Hey legerwn...Neal

Hey Neal,

Took the 2009 into the shop to day to my Favorite Wrench Monkey to have the New Pan with the installed drain plug I had welded in. He did jack the tranny by the tail end with a piece of wood to protect the case. Dropped the old pan and went for the Seal.
His way was always the Chesil or the sharp pointed pick thang.

So I said Hey.. I was shown a new way to remove the seal with this.... It was the 3/4 pipe thread thang that you suggested. I put one together in an L shape and told him to screw it in and tap lightly at the bend. Long story short.....The seal popped right out. .....Blew his mind. Then he installed the seal with the GM Tool I had picked up off Flea Bay. I left it the pipe unit with him for the next time I return and for his future service on GM Tranny's.

So..I want to Thankyou for that suggestion. It save allot of time in removing the seal. Thanks Again..:D

Glad it worked for you and you got the tranny serviced with no issues,

Neal,

10-4..... Cut the old filter open... only hard to see two or three specs of metal about the size of a ball point pen tip. That's it 2......The rest of the filter was clean... Not bad for 71 K. :D
