H2 stuck in park...
Hi guys,
A friend of mine owns a H2, and unfortunately can't drive it because the gear selector will not move out of park. Has anyone had this issue? If so, how do you remedy it? Thanks in advance. |

Depress brake pedal, move shifter to gear of choice ... LOL!
Sensor or linkage issue perhaps!? |
RE: H2 stuck in park...
I'll have to do some digging. Within the last few weeks I remember reading somewhere a guy with the exact same problem. It turned out to be a brake sensor IIRC. If I find it again, I'll be sure to post.

RE: H2 stuck in park...
If it IS this, there should be a way to disable this feature, called the Brake Transmission Shift Internlock (BTSI). For emergency purposes, there must always be a way to disable this. Checking the H2 manual, I see there is a fuse specifically for BTSI, so it may be blown. It's also possible the sensor switch is damaged, I don't know exactly where it is on the H2, but would guess it's under the dash, connected to the brake pedal.
