Default H2 Oil?

Hey guys, I'm going to be doing my first oil change on my H2 this weekend, and I'm going to be doing it myself, and I've decided (from what most people say) to use Mobil.1 synthetic motor oil, however I'm wondering whether I should use Mobil 1 Extended Performance, or Mobil Clean High Mileage, when I put my vehicle in on their site, they both came up, and I'm just wondering whether anyone on this forum would have any insight on which of the two to use, or any other oil that they believe is best.

I was also thinking about getting a K&N oil filter for my H2 when I change it out, I hear from most that they're the best. Any input on good oil filters would be great too.

I have a 2003 H2 with 86,000 miles on it. (about 137,000km).

thanks in advance all!

I just changed mine with the regular Mobil 1 5-30 and I used a WIX filter.

Default oil

Yeah I agree... This will cause a great deal of chatter but oil is oil man. Just change it at regular intervals.

Default mobil 1

mobil 1 or royal purple is all my toys get and since i sold the vette its all M1 with M1 filters

if want consistent lubrication at a full temp range get a full syn oil, and while your at it fill your diff with GL100 lube, you wont believe the difference.

no- not all oil is the same

I would ask what was the oil that had been used for 80K miles? It might make a difference as to what to run now.

The M1 filters are top shelf filters; Purolator are also very good. I'm not a K&N fan myself.

I use Valvoline Syn-Tec every 3-4K miles. Mobil 1 is great but its just easyier for me to go to the Valvoline instant oil change place and get it done.

Default oil is oil

Had a chevy truck with 387000 miles. Changed the oil every 6000 miles and never used synthetic.... use the correct weight and that's all that matters

Use synthetic Mobile 1. It lasts forever, and will really take care of your motor.
