Fuel smell inside cabin

I think there is a TSB about that. I'll see if I can find it in the GM eSI system...

Well - I did not see anything. Quite possible I was thinking of a different vehicle. What I remember of it though is that there was some lower body seam poorly sealed that was near the vapor canister but again, that might have been for a different vehicle.

I'd check for any sort of fuel leaks with the engine running (so the fuel system is pressurized). Could be on top of the fuel tank though which is not easy to get to.

it could be the top of your fuel pump has rotted and has holes. does it smell near the driver side passenger door?

There's an easy way to find the source.

An easy way to check your fuel pump in less than 2 minutes.

Reach in to the fuel pump just in front of the left rear wheel arch plastic lining. You should be able to touch all the pipes and rim of the pump etc, if there's a fuel leak you'll feel the damp fuel and smell on your fingers!

so if you can... recheck all the connectors and lines. maybe one of the fuel lines has a leak.

Thanks everyone it was an injector rail crossover pipe oring. Mechanic recently replaced the knock sensors and i guess boogered or used incorrect seal.
