The most use I can see out of the front receiver is the ability to front load a trailer into a tight postion,,, a winch is nice, but to drive a trailer forward instead of backing it in between the boat and garage suddenly got simple.

I think the hitch receiver in front was intended for use by people who bought the Hummer for what it was intended to be used for. Leaving the pavement and working the truck man style. If you're an indoor person and roll wheels wrapped in tires that have a 1" sidewall then your right....the front hitch receiver makes no sense... Just like the buttons left of the stereo. I threw a 12,000 pound winch in the hole. Just use a drill to make a vertical hole in what ever you want to put in there.
