Default Front bumper refinish project

I finally purchased a new to me 2004 Hummer H2. The front bumper had several decent size surface rust areas that needed attention. The front plastic part on top of the bumper also was worn with water stains. I did not take any before pictures but here is the finished product. I took the bumper to bare metal and grinded away all of the rust. I then covered the bumper with Rustoleum Rust prohibitor. Spot putty to the pitted areas followed by 4 coats of Rustoleum satin black paint (brushed on) followed by 6 coats of Rustoleum satin black spray The finish was then polished to a satin shine. I used the same Rustoleum satin spray paint for the top plastic part. The plastic bumper corners were fitted with a piece of metal to act as a large washer so that it mounts flush to the main part. To be installed tomorrow. Thank for looking.

Kevin

This looks just like what GM should have done from the factory. Clean is the best way to describe it.
Any other paint projects in the works?

Thank you for the kind replies. Id like to do all of the trim but the rest is not too bad. Next project is to straighten out the dreaded blend door issues I seem to have. I got real carried away with the front bumpers. Was an off and on 3 week project but the results are good.

Thanks again

Kevin
