Flat towing

Does anyone know which fuse to pull so I don't run down my battery while I'm on the road.or any other tips I should know before towing. I haven't towed this yet. Thank you

You should not need to remove any fuses. Once you put the transfer case in neutral you can shut if off and take the key out. Obviously make sure the wheels are straight and be very aware that with the trans case in neutral the shifter being in park will not prevent the vehicle from rolling. Its in the owners manual (can download from GM if you do not have yours) under recreation vehicle towing.

Towing with locked steering? Turn the ignition to ACCESSORY. Disconnect the battery if you are going to tow for long distances or long periods of time.

Good point - totally forgot about that (been a long time since I've towed something flat). Steering does need to be unlocked so that it will track and not damage the ties rods and what not when turning.Yeah disconnecting the battery would be the best way to prevent killing the battery although I'm sure there is some specific fuses that could be pulled.

Thanks for your input. Definitely need to unlock steering but it was the battery I was concerned about. But I installed a marine disconnect on the negative side to take of the problem. Thanks again.
