Driver front door needs adjusting

Hello everyone, how do I adjust the front door to sit closer to the cab when the door is closed? Thanks in advance!!

You could try loosening the locking mechanism or the hinges and see if there is any play in them to pull the door in. I don't think there is much play when I did my door checks and billet buckets. Maybe the locking mechanism is worn?

most likely it's the hinge pin bushings are worn. grab the bottom of the door and see if you get a clunk or play at the hinges.

My H2 has a similar situation and I'm looking for some help - my wife opened the drivers door ALL the way to remove belongings and she must have pushed it pretty hard because it opened w/ a very loud and pronounced 'click' like the door was catching on the body work.

I took it into my indy and he adjusted the hinge and said if it happens again it will need to go to a body shop. Well, this morning it's back but is far less noticeable and it clicks at a different spot than before.

Do I need to take it into a body shop or is this something I should be able to fix myself? I don't want to make it any worse! Thanks for any help or guidance.

it depends what the "Click" is... is the hinge backing plate torn or cracked from the "A pillar" is the click the hinge pins? is it the door stop? is the door hitting the front fender making the click? there are many click factors to consider and we cant tell what that would be from behind our computers. follow the noise more thoroughly as only you can hear this issue.

Sounds very logical and straightforward - I'll take a closer look this afternoon. Thanks!

It's catching on the front fender. Is there an adjustment to shift the door backwards, or is it more like loosen-adjust-tighten type of procedure to re-align?

I posted a full PDF of the factory adjustment procedure in the first thread you posted about this.

Thanks, MixManSC - this really helps and I should be able to fix this myself w/ this info. While I didn't post that first thread, I really appreciate having access to this procedure. Hopefully others can benefit as well- cheers!
