Door locking & handle problems
Hello everyone!
I am a owner to a 2005 Hummer H2. I have been having an issue with my rear doors. My left rear door had an issue locking with the hit of a button from the driver control center and my key fob. It just would not flip over the the lock or unlock position what so ever. Now my right rear passenger door unlocks and locks but will not open from the outside. I can only get it to open from the inside. I was planning on getting a full set of door handles for my Hummer but I need to know if this is something more concerning that I would love to get fixed as soon as possible. Anything helps!! Thank you! |
15yrs later, it's time to take action. I prefer silicone spray and lithium grease spray. Works on squeaky door hinges too. Maintenance is the key.

if that does not help you probably need new door actuators. the little motors inside go bad
|
I agree, silicone spray or white lithium are the best for those areas. I would tend to agree with bronx, likely the actuator is bad.
|
Just be aware that not all white lithium greases are the same. Many basic consumer ones dry out over time and will become extremely sticky almost acting more like an adhesive than a lubricant....
