I've always been an SUV kind of guy, but back in 2015 I picked up an Avalanche. Best vehicle I've ever owned and I had no desire to trade it in or get rid of it, unless it was for an H2. Last week I bought an H2 and am now faced with selling my priced Avalanche. I've owned the H2 for about a week now, but have already ran into multiple scenarios that it just doesn't work out as well as a pickup did. Hindsight is 20/20 and I now realize just how much I used my Avalanche as a truck and the Hummer just can't compete on the same plane.

So I ask of the community, do you have other vehicles you use for other purposes, or is your Hummer the primary vehicle?

 

Other vehicles. F-350, 2020 Corvette, multiple Hummers, F-250, Scorpion...

 

i think it boils down to insurance. here up north you cant afford multiple vehicles near a metro area.

 

I expected my 07 H3 to work, and the same with the 09 Alpha I replaced it with..... and they do some, but it ain't got a pickup bead.

Yes I have other stuff to drive... like a winter beater so the Alpha does not rot, motorcycles and cars when the weather is good. I do not think my Alpha will leave the driveway this week, it will be raining so the beater will carry me back and forth until the holiday starts early!

 

I have the 04 H2 that I just got, a 02 Avalanche Z71 that I've had about 5 years and a 2018 Equinox that's my daily driver.
I live in rural Okla and a pickup is extremely handy to have so at this time I'm planning on keeping the Avalanche.

 

many parts are interchangeable on the avalanche and the H2 if the avalanche has the 8 cylinder then that's even more parts that can interchange.

 

Back away from the meth man... What Chevrolet Avalanche didn't have a V8. 8.1L, 6.0L or the 5.3L ALL V8s that's it. Thought you are a mechanic???
As far as parts interchange I'm not sure but I don't think the 1500 parts interchange at all. Maybe some of the 8 Lug 2500 8.1L.

 

Yeah my Avalanche has the 5.3L V8. Good running truck but has wiring gremlins.
