This is on an '03 H2 the blower motor fan is making a ticking soundlike therelike the fan blades are hitting thr housing. This happens intermittantly while driving. I took the passenger side kick panel off and if I push on the bottom of the blower motor I can make it stop and start making the noise but there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it. Has anyone else had this problem? I really hope the blower motor isn't going out because I am sure it is $$$ and a pain to install.

 

How bad is it? Does it sound like a leaf or something might be stuck in there?

 

It does sound like a leaf is stuck in there. I wonder if there is any way to gain access to the inside without pulling the dash apart.

 

Stick a shop vac or leaf blower in the re-circ panel under the pass. side dash and blow. Make sure the A/C control is set to re-cir or the Max setting. Ford's used to be BAD about that.

 

Well it turns out the blower motor is very easy to remove. Pull off the passenger side kick panel and then remove three screws and the blower motor drops out the bottom. Sure enough I had a big *** pine needle in there!
