Clearing 44/19.50's????
For my H2 what would the minimum hight suspension lift (preferably FTS) needed to clear 44SS boggers? I am only 5 foot 7 tall and for a daily driver around town if I can stay away from a 12 inch suspension it would be awesome.

I'd imagine quite a lot would be needed. I just did a levelling kit with reindexed torsion keys bringing mine up about 2.5" and 37 x 13.5 just barely rub at full lock when backing up. Just going to the 37's also made a very noticeable difference in off the line power and dropped economy down to about 9mpg on average (not that anyone is expecting good economy in an h2 lol). So if you plan on tires that size, go ahead and plan on spending a lot on a very heavy duty transmission rebuild as the trans is already a weak point in these and with 44's I seriously doubt it will last a month unless you baby it. Might break the trans immediately if you floor it unless you also regear the front and rear diffs. That is a truly massive amount of additional weight and a massive diameter tire to get turning (in comparison to the stock size) which will put a gigantic strain on the trans and diffs. With that size tire I'd say that regearing will pretty much be mandatory although once up to speed you could cruise on the interstate at 80mph at 500 rpm. lol Will also need to get a custom tune do to recalibrate your speedo which will be way way off (as well as your odometer no longer being correct - a tune fixes both).
I'd guess probably at least 8" but maybe a 6" along with a 2-3 inch body lift might get 44's under it. Not sure myself though. I've seen them with tires that big but they were certainly lifted, a lot.

Sell it! Go buy a Ford or Dodge Diesel. I have 38/15.5/20 and it’s a lot of tire and pushing the limits and I have 4.88 gears and a built transmission. At least the diesels have 1ton stuff. If you have your heart set on it I would look for h2 already done and sell yours. I don’t think the steering setup will handle turn the tires. Maybe a straight axle swap and crossover steering. I’m guessing without SAS you’re looking at 20k+ wheels tires, lift , gears, transmission, transmission cooler, lots of diesel trucks done up for less than what you will have in yours. End results you have a fortune in a mall cruiser that just looks good sitting still. Good luck with whatever you choose to do. Personally I would rather have a Duramax h2 with 37’s and drive the **** out of it.
