Yes, under certain circumstances there is a need for crank relearn.(A diagnostic trouble code of P1336 is present.The pcm has been replaced or re-programmed.The crankshaft position sensor has been replaced.The engine, harmonic balancer, clutch, or flywheel have been: disassembled,removed, or replaced etc..)
NOT for a misfire!
It's beneficial to diagnose the source of the misfire!

Update - A bit over a year later, still no problems and no CEL or codes.
