Default Alarm Module Location and Removal

Hello everybody...it has been a while...

I got issue with my alarm. It always prevent my car from starting with the blinking blue light on.. I want to disconnect the alarm module but I'm not sure where it located. Perhaps anyone with the direction might help. Mine is VIPER ALARM.(I'm assuming the placement of the viper module same place with the factory alarm)

There is no standard location for that. The factory alarm is integrated into the body control module and powertrain control module and is not replaceable. Your Viper is just added on where that particular installer happened to secure it. Typically though, installers tend to put them under the dash up above the emergency brake or somewhere around the steering column. Just varies but usually where they can find a spot to zip tie it into place that is closest to where the majority of the wires are that they have to tie into.

look for zip ties and rat nest of wires and spliced wires under the dash. none are factory procedure. follow that to a black box dangling somewhere.

Appreciate it guys
Will it be an issue if I just disconnect the module or I have to make re-connection to some wires?

I'm not totally sure. I think that can depend on the system and how it is wired (like it if has a starter interrupt that required cutting, not just tying into, a starter wire, etc). Will not hurt anything to try though, unplug the module and see if it starts and runs fine.

if it had remote start they might have cut into your ignition switch wires to add a relay.

It's started, for now... Hope it stays like that. Saw bunch of wire spliced and connected everwhere, bunch of fuses, small box might be a module for some of accessories.
