Anyone use a K&N air filter in thier H2?
Any performance or MPG gains?

i've used K&N before, and the only thing i've noticed is an increased hassle in cleaning and then oiling it. it made no difference on my supercharged 4runner, in fact probably caused my mass air flow sensor to fail because of the oil. i'll stick with stock.

I've also heard that the oil messing up your sensor is not worth the "possible" advantages.
Some people swear that they saw no improvement! I'll just wait and see.

i put mine in at the same time as adding a new exhaust, and noticed nothing but a nice rumble. now i'm still dealing with the hassle since my mom-in-law has my old 4runner. nothing i've read from people that have used them makes me think they're worth the money or hassle.

i have often heard of the "K&N ruined my mafs" issues, but i have not had these issues. just to give one good opinion of the K&N filter, over my stock intake setup on my car, i gained a bit of power, and some mpg...i also run circular K&Ns on all of my older vehicles...

i'm sure anything with a carburator would be fine, in fact i had one on my '70 chevy pickup. no mafs there, and the more air that got sucked into all 4 barrels was good for it. alas, it's gone the way of my karmann ghia, off to someone with the time to play with them. but damn, for a 305, that thing was fast. and nice and loud too, i miss it.
