Aftermarket fuel tank for H2

Does anyone know if they make aftermarket fuel tanks for 2006 HUMMER H2? Mine has rusted and I'm not fining any OEM fuel tanks anywhere in the country.

You tried contacting Pacific Motors? They part H2's out a lot......

are you sure its the tank thats rusted and not the skid plate or fuel pump? the tank is plastic.

Tkx so much for the reply. The mechanic told me its metal. Its not the pump its the seal that sits on top he said its rotted and leaks gas fumes and if he tries to replace it it will break the tank as well. Mine is 2006 . 2004-2008 supposed to be the same tank

it is usually the top of the fuel pump that rots out. unless he already damaged the tank trying to remove the lock ring. usually you replace the entire pump assembly and get a new lock ring and seal. they are known to rot and cause fuel odors and evap codes.

No he hasnt touched it yet he just did a smoke test and told me where it was leaking from. You are absolutely correct that where he said it was leaking from. You think the parts you mention can be replaced without damaging the tank?

usually you can do the job without compromising the tank.
if you can start soaking it with penetrant from now it will help facilitate the removal of the rusted parts
the lock ring though probably not if it's really rusty. that will need replacement most likely.

O-rings/plastic don't rust out, yet the fpm does, I had to replace mine a few years ago. Make sure to have 1 ready when you replace your plastic tank.
